State Grid Zhoukou Power Supply Company: Streamlining Power Access and Fast-Tracking Charging Point Installations

As electric vehicles increasingly become the eco-friendly and convenient choice for many residents, the installation of charging points has become crucial in ensuring seamless and efficient vehicle use. On 4th November, the State Grid Zhoukou Power Supply Company took proactive measures to enhance service quality and expedite the installation process, thereby supporting residents in their green commuting efforts.

To elevate service standards, the company’s marketing department has intensified training for account managers, ensuring they are well-versed in the necessary procedures, requirements, and key considerations involved in charging point installations. Customer service personnel are on hand to patiently guide residents visiting the service centre through the application process. Additionally, the company utilizes “grid community WeChat groups” to disseminate charging point installation guides, allowing residents to conveniently access information from home. This initiative enables users to manage electricity service applications without the need to leave their homes, maximizing accessibility.

In terms of speeding up the installation process, every step—from application acceptance, onsite survey, design planning, to construction and installation—comes with clear deadlines and designated personnel. Upon receiving a resident’s application, staff promptly conduct an on-site survey and formulate a practical installation plan, ensuring the quickest possible installation of charging points for the residents.

“We are currently receiving daily applications for charging point installations,with numbers considerably up from the same period last year. Many residents are also enquiring about the cost of charging and the documentation required for installation,” explained Wang Na, a service centre staff member at the Chengbei Power Supply Centre, while patiently addressing residents’ queries. “If the power supply conditions are met, the power company will provide complimentary services for site surveying, planning, metering, and connecting power throughout the entire process.”

Furthermore, the power company is actively collaborating with government entities, communities, and property management companies to synchronize the renovation of older residential areas with the planning of charging facilities. This collaboration aims to resolve any issues encountered during the installation process, thereby facilitating the deployment of charging points to meet the growing demand from residents.
